Summary:

Alka is an assassin for the Clan of the Sword. She’s on a journey to find the woman Jin Valel, who killed her master Hon. Jin is a demon-like woman who controls the Energy of Chaos and kills without feeling—not unlike how Aruka has learned to kill in her work as an assassin. On her journey, Alka encounters three strange women, each a great warrior in her own right and grapples with her slain master’s wish that she leave the life of an assassin behind. (Source: ANN)

Review:

Blade and Soul is a Japanese action anime based on a Korean MMORPG with the same title. The anime is about this girl Alka who’s trying to seek revenge on the people that wiped out her clan specially Jin Valel. Alka is blinded by her vengeance though she learns a lot through her journey. Revenge is not everything. The anime has lots of betrayal, jealousy and injustice in it. There was also Kindness and forgiveness. Alka had a great deal of self development. She influenced everyone around her. The psychological aspect of the anime was unreal. I mean it was very deep and dark. Not to mention the action was great. Amazing fights accrued.

The only problem with the anime is that I’ve seen many anime with the same concept or ordeal. There for I wasn’t very impressed. I think the story would’ve been more interesting if it were told differently. Like… if they made if more mysterious or something. Though over all it was a good anime.

Overall Rating: 7/10
