Kokoa Hoto just moved to town to start a new life at a new school. While looking for the boarding house where she is supposed to live and work, she stumbles across a cafe called Rabbit House. She’s excited, imagining it’s filled to the brim with rabbits that she can cuddle. Instead she finds out that it is a very ordinary coffee house with only one rabbit named Tippy, who doesn’t even always act or sound like a rabbit should, and a quiet girl named Chino Kafuu.
Kokoa learns that Rabbit House is actually the boarding house she was looking for. She is to be their new waitress. Now Kokoa must balance school and work life while also learning all about things like customer service, coffee art and much more from her new friends. As Chino’s father says, things are going to get very lively in Rabbit House!
With a new year comes new adventures, especially at the Rabbit House! Since her arrival at the café, Kokoa Hoto has become accustomed to her new life as a waitress even though the Rabbit House isn’t the rabbit paradise she initially envisioned it to be. Life is pleasant, and she enjoys spending time both working and playing with her friends and fellow waitresses Chino Kafuu, a cute middle school student with a fuzzy bunny companion named Tippy, and Rize Tedeza, the pig-tailed daughter of a soldier who is readily armed for any scenario.
Together with Chiya Ujimatsu and Sharo Kirima, who also work at neighboring cafés in town, the Rabbit House crew gets involved in all sorts of crazy adventures. Throughout these adventures, the girls encounter troubled novelists, rival cafes, secret treasure, and… alcoholic chocolates? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?? is a Moe anime that has gotten pretty popular. The anime is very funny and light. The characters have different personality and quirks when you put them together comedy is unavoidable. Surprisingly though the side characters are funnier than the main characters. Don’t get me wrong though, Sharo, Rize, Chino, Chiya and Kokoa are quite hilarious but nothing tops Aoyama and Tippy. Since the anime is a Slice of life its doesn’t contain any drama and even the…. well, some what sad situation they face are shed in a… well, lighter light? So its the type of anime you watch to have a delightful time.
I must be honest about this though, in terms of Moe anime… I’ve seen better. I’m not saying that the anime is bad its quite good. I just prefer other Moe anime that I came across.
