Summary:
Following a nuclear holocaust, the world has become a desert wasteland and civilization has collapsed. Max Rockatansky, a survivor, is captured by the War Boys, the army of the tyrannical Immortan Joe, and taken to Joe’s Citadel. Designated a universal blood donor, Max is imprisoned and used as a “blood bag” for a sick War Boy called Nux. Meanwhile, Imperator Furiosa, one of Joe’s lieutenants, is sent in her armoured semi-truck, the “War Rig”, to collect gasoline. When she drives off-route, Joe realizes that his five wives—women selected for breeding—are missing. Joe leads his entire army in pursuit of Furiosa, calling on the aid of nearby Gas Town and the Bullet Farm.
Review:
To be honest I’m not familiar with the Mad Max Franchise. I thought the movie was based on the game but its the other way around. I watched the movie because of Charlize Theron I’m a fan of hers. The movie was set up in the desert. Max’s survival instincts were impressive at first. Then the movie turned into need for speed literally. It was all about car chasing. Whats funny was the fact that they couldn’t catch up to a truck. I mean come on. Then again its Sci fi, so I guess the trucks are very fast in that world. I think I also noticed that the truck had a turbo or something to make it faster. It was funny for me. Other than that the action was great so was their survival plan. I was a bit disappointed at the end. They did make a revaluation but… It felt like they could’ve done that from the very beginning. Nevertheless the movie was good and Charlize was as amazing as ever.
