Summary:
The great music adventure in Show by Rock!! begins after Cyan decides to play her favorite rhythm game and suddenly gets sucked in, finding herself in a world called Midi City where music reigns supreme. She learns that anyone who delivers amazing and powerful music also has the ability to control the city. However, not all music is pure. An evil plan is set in motion to engulf the whole Midi City in darkness. Is it too late for Cyan to do something?
Cyan Hijirikawa always regards herself as nothing but an ordinary girl living in a mediocre world. She has great talent and extreme guitar skills, but she also lacks the confidence to take the first step in realizing her dream to play in a band and be a music millionaire! Little did she know that an eminent power resides deep within herself—the power to defeat evil with her magical music!

Review:
I really enjoy music anime specially when its about bands. Show by Rock has a typical concept of how rock n’ roll can save the world. However the anime was put in an interesting setting. The world that the anime take place in (as you can see in the second picture) the characters are chibi and they look like animal, that happens when ever a band is playing on stage. Yet the rest of the anime art is similar to the first picture. All the characters look like they are cosplaying :p. Even though the bunny/cat ears are real and all. Its safe to say that Show by Rock!! is quite ridiculous in a good way. Its very funny and enjoyable. The show might seem too Moe from the poster and girly but to my surprise the anime didn’t focus on the band in the main poster. It was about all the bands and the events that took place in their city. The plot does take a dark turn however it doesn’t stray too far from the main story. I really liked the ending of the anime and didn’t expect it to have a second season. Show by Rock!!# which is the second season is now airing.
