The story of Gundam Build Fighters Try is set 7 years after the end of the 1st series. Now Seiho Academy’s Gunpla Battle Club has only one member, Hoshino Fumina, who is a third grade student in junior high. As the president of the club, she needs two more members to participate in the upcoming All-Japan Gunpla Battle Championships. One day she encounters a transfer student named Kamiki Sekai, who has traveled around for Kenpo training with his master. Then joining by a young Gunpla builder Kousaka Yuuma, their challenge to the Gunpla Battle begins… (Source: Crunchyroll)

Gundam build fighters try has an entirely new set of main characters. The concept of the show is the same as the first one where Gunpla modelers fight it off until they reach the finals in the annually held  Gunpla battle tournament which seems to be the most likely envisioned future and the next step for the Gundam plastic models that we know. The second season, this time around changes the dynamic of the fights by making it a 3V3 battles which is a game changer I loved the collaboration between the battlers whether it’s from the opponents or the main cast it really evokes their emotions and their enthusiasm during the fights.

The show was entertaining from beginning to end again with call outs to older Gundam shows  scattered around the show, for example the main character and his gundam itself are a call back to G Gundam’s main character Domon kasshu. I was really impressed with the creativity in the fight scenes once again things were exaggerated but not to the unbelievable sense. This show really needs to be seen in the highest quality possible because it really shines when all the elements come together from the epic soundtrack to the beautifully rendered graphics and feels.

Overall Rate: 8/10
