Summary:

The year is 1999. Morioh, a normally quiet and peaceful town, has recently become a hotbed of strange activity. Joutarou Kuujou, now a marine biologist, heads to the mysterious town to meet Jousuke Higashikata. While the two may seem like strangers at first, Jousuke is actually the illegitimate child of Joutarou’s grandfather, Joseph Joestar. When they meet, Joutarou realizes that he may have more in common with Jousuke than just a blood relation.

Along with the mild-mannered Kouichi Hirose and the boisterous Okuyasu Nijimura, the group dedicates themselves to investigating recent disappearances and other suspicious occurrences within Morioh. Aided by the power of Stands, the four men will encounter danger at every street corner, as it is up to them to unravel the town’s secrets, before another occurs. [Written by MAL Rewrite]

Review:

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable is the 4th season of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series. It is also the 4th arc in the JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure universe. The anime follows the story of Jousuke Higashikata (Spoiler: He is Joseph’s son). This arc was different than the one before it. Before we know that Dio was the main villain, but now you don’t know who the main villain is until later in the anime. The new character and the new stands keep get better and more interesting.

This season was more brutal in terms of fights. The story was not focus on Jousuke and there have been some episodes where he didn’t even appear. Kouichi Hirose, took most of the spotlights in the anime and he had the most character development. I mean even his stand went through a great deal of changes. I want to pin down the overall of this anime. I mean we’re in the 4th season. Still though the story keeps shifting which is what makes JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure special. Yoshikage Kira, is by far the most interesting villain that showed up in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure even his stand (Killer Queen) was amazing. I don’t want to mention every single character in the show. However, I was glad to see some familiar faces come back to the show like Joutaru and Joseph.

Now real talk, the anime was made by David Production which animated all previous season. To my surprise, the animation quality decreased a great deal since the last season. By the end of the anime it was between unbearable to watch to too funny to take seriously. I mean the ending was supposed to be intense but how can you take it seriously when the animation is that bad? I was very disappointed. The music was actually good and even better than the older seasons. All in all, if you haven’t watched the previous seasons go ahead and watch them before you start this one.

Overall Rate: 8/10
