Review:
I’m a huge fan of Hibike! Euphonium. I was so happy when season 2 was annouced I couldn’t wait to watch it! Of course I’ve watched The special and OVA that were released before this season. I started watching season 2 as soon as it aired and was watching on a weekly basis.
The season started off where the last one left off. It was more drama focused than music focus which isn’t good when you’re watching for the music. The season mainly focused on Asuka’s story, her effect on her fellow mates and a new character’s back story (technically not a new character but the character didn’t get enough screen time last season to be noticeable). The overall story felt like a tribute if that makes sense.
I want to talk about the characters and the ships but part of me does not want to get into that because Kyoto animation played us good with this series.
Last but not least the music. It was still there since it’s a music anime however the main focus was the composers. If you watched the first season make sure you check this one out don’t get your hopes up unless you’re aiming for more drama which you will surely get.
The anime is very good I just liked the first season better. I can’t wait to see the upcoming movie. Asuka is my favorite character and you’ll get to know her better in this season.
