Summary:
After five years of harboring unspoken feelings, high-schooler Taiju Ooki is finally ready to confess his love to Yuzuriha Ogawa. Just when Taiju begins his confession however, a blinding green light strikes the Earth and petrifies mankind around the world—turning every single human into stone.
Several millennia later, Taiju awakens to find the modern world completely nonexistent, as nature has flourished in the years humanity stood still. Among a stone world of statues, Taiju encounters one other living human: his science-loving friend Senkuu, who has been active for a few months. Taiju learns that Senkuu has developed a grand scheme—to launch the complete revival of civilization with science. Taiju’s brawn and Senkuu’s brains combine to forge a formidable partnership, and they soon uncover a method to revive those petrified.

Review:
Where do I begin with this one. So I was interested in watching the anime ever since I saw the cover and the manga and noticed the E=MC^2 on the main character’s collar. I thought for sure this would be interesting I didn’t see anything about it though and tried to avoid everything related to it. Then on TikTok I noticed people doing experiments from Dr.Stone I was more intrigued to watched. However I only actually watched it when my friend recommended it to me.
I must say everything I imagined the show would be wasn’t what it was. For whatever reason I though it would be like Toraiko. Boy was I glad I was wrong. First of all, the main idea behind the world itself was very interesting and its one of those shows that keeps you wanting to learn more. Like I wanted to know the background story about everyone and I wanted to know the science behind everything and the best part is the Science checks out. You have no idea how satisfying it is to watch a sci-fi where the science actually checks out. Its so rare to come by.
With that said Lets go to the characters… You also have no idea how satisfying it is to watch a shounen where the main character is not a cry baby… or a total smug. Senkuu has a great personality and so does every other character in the show. The story is so well developed is gives you a deep understanding about everything that’s going on without being boring.. I mean even the boring trop characters were interesting.. yes its that good.
I would’ve had an issue with one thing about the anime, which is that it ended where the plot starts. However since I watched it after Dr.Stone wars came out. Its perfectly perfect cause I started watching Wars rights away. Hence my rating for it. I highly recommend it, Its one of the best shounen’s I’ve seen in a while.
