Summary:
Nagisa Yamada is a junior high school student who lives in the remote countryside town of Tottori. Her father has passed away years ago, and her mother does part-time jobs to support the family. She is a realist, and wants to graduate as soon as possible to live her own life. Mokuzu Umino is a melancholic and very mysterious transfer student. She claims to be a mermaid, come to land on a mission to find a true friend before the storm comes. At Tottori, the two girls meet, develop a unique friendship, and do what they can to keep living.
Review:
Satougashi no Dangan wa Uchinukenai: A Lollypop or A Bullet is one of my favorite manga. If you’ve read my previous posts you would know that I’m a huge fan of Psychological manga and this is one of the best short Psychological manga I’ve came across. The manga is quite tragic and pretty sad. The main characters view of the world is what makes this manga so interesting. The art of the manga is amazing. I would love to see a live action adaption of this manga. I believe that everyone should read Satougashi no Dangan wa Uchinukenai: A Lollypop or A Bullet even if they don’t like psychological manga. Its still a must.
